In Castella school we believe English is one of the most important languages in both our present and future. It's for that reason we had implemented GEP in two different projects: Art and Science.

ART PROJECT

Task 1

Is graffitti art? Or vandalism?

Along the history of mankind there have been a wide variety of ways to express ideas, feelings, knowledge, etc.
Currently, it is considered a kind of graffiti, however, is it pondered as proper art? The debate is on.
By means of the Art sessions the students will be provided by a wide range of artists, images in order to design and
create firstly, a Tag and afterwards a graffiti (signed by their tags). This is a long-term project divided in two parts: the
creation of a tag and then a graffiti. Nevertheless, in this GEP activity we are going to develop only the first part of the
project: Create a Tag.

Task 2

Instructions to make a Stencil

The principal aim of the following session is to provide the students several strategies to be able to predict, read and understand instructions for a meaningful purpose, make a stencil. Moreover, last but not least we would highlight the importance of organizing the information in order to understand it, therefore, the student has to understand the text meaningfully and subsequently explain it with
his/her words. This activity is included in the Graffiti Project.
